GERMAN BEER STEIN FOR GERMAN AMERICAN FOLK FESTIVAL FROM THE 60s undtab
This is a beer stein commemorating the Deutsch-Amerikanisches Volksfest (German-American Folk Festival) in Grafenwöhr, Germany. This annual event celebrates the partnership and friendship between the American military community and the local German population. It is from an estate sale and I was told it is from the 1960s.It is the largest event of its kind in Germany. The festival features carnival rides, beer tents, German and American food, and live music. Displays of German and American military equipment are also a highlight. It is a gratis, family-style event that attracts American soldiers, families, civilians, retirees, and local Germans. The Volksfest strengthens ties between the military, civilian, and local communities. Has one small manufacturing error on rim see last pic. I adore to sell bundles and love to make deals.
