Inspired by an air show, Alex began producing sketches at the age of six. It was his early display of natural talent and ability that prompted his career in art.Alex was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and educated in Detroit, Michigan and Cincinnati, Ohio. He was the recipient of two State Scholastic Art Awards in Michigan and Ohio, and received two art scholarships. Alex attended The Detroit Institute of Art, the Cincinnati Art Academy, William E. Gebhardt School of Art, and the University of Cincinnati.Alex's career in commercial art gave him the opportunity to work for companies such as Proctor & Gamble, General Electric, and Midwest Nautilus, Inc. One of his commissioned works for Midwest Nautilus earned him national attention
