The Casio MW-59 is one of the few analog "cheap Casio" watches with a resin band that features a date display function. The basic design, dedicated to the function of telling time, is a true example of functional beauty, with almost no decorative elements. The only decorative element is the notches at the 12, 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions on the bezel, which probably incorporate the design of a bezel with a direction-finding function. The movement, which is the heart of the watch, is the Japanese-made MIYOTA 2115. This movement is equipped with a shock detection drive system, which automatically activates a function to prevent hand misalignment when the watch is subjected to impact.
